SARANAC LAKE — The Saranac Lake Fun Run series continued Thursday with footraces of between a quarter-mile and 3.8 miles.

The quarter-mile race was the most popular on Thursday, with 35 kids completing the out-and-back course on the sidewalk along Lake Flower. Nineteen runners took on the 3.8-mile “Hilly Man” course that traveled through the neighborhoods on the south side of the village.

The family-friendly races are free of charge and take place every Thursday starting in Riverside Park. The summer series, which conclues Aug. 31, is organized by volunteers and sponsored by the village of Saranac Lake and the Kiwanis Club of Saranac Lake.
