The Placid Planet Time Trial Series is set to begin on May 1 and will run every Wednesday until June 5.

The time trial series, which is free, is an individual bicycle race out and back on River Road a route that is approximately 8 miles. Participants accumulate points by showing up, beating their previous best time and being the fastest individual each evening. The man and woman with the most points will each receive a $100 Placid Planet gift certificate at the end of the series.

The event starts at 6:30 p.m. at the end of River Road in Lake Placid near the Olympic Jumping Complex. Participants must sign a waiver and wear a helmet. There will traffic on the road, so the event organizers ask that racers be considerate of drivers and residents.
