Racing to the finish

Madison Hoffman, of the University of Utah, won her second Alpine national championship of the week, finishing in a time of 1:49.37. Denver’s Nora Brand (1:50.34) and Sara Rask (1:50.36) finished in second and third place, respectivly. Heading into the final day of racing today, the Utah is currently in first place with 358.0 points, followed by the University of Colorado-Boulder in second with 356.5 and Denver University in third with 346.5. Mathias Tefre, of the University of Vermont, skis down Whiteface Mountain during the NCAA Skiing National Championships on Wednesday. Tefre was the winner of the men’s slalom national championship with a two-run time of 1:49.32 on Friday. The Unversity of Utah’s Wilhelm Normannseth (1:50.11) was second, while fellow UVM Catamount, Joachim Lindstol (1:50.38) was third. Heading into the final day of racing today, the Utah is currently in first place with 358.0 points, followed by the University of Colorado-Boulder in second with 356.5 and Denver University in third with 346.5.
