Food program for veterans launched

To the editor:

Franklin County Veteran Services Agency is proud to announce the Veterans Feeding Veterans program coming to Franklin County through a partnership with JCEO! The VFV program provides free, substantial, monthly food boxes for Veterans and surviving spouses of veterans.

The American Legion is the most widespread Veterans organization in Franklin County with a total of eight posts covering Malone, Tupper Lake, St. Regis Falls, Saranac Lake, Chateaugay, Brushton-Moira, Fort Covington, and Hogansburg. This makes the American Legion posts the ideal partners to be the heart and soul of Veterans Feeding Veterans in Franklin County!

The best part? VFV is completely grant funded so all we are asking for is time and effort to raise awareness!

Now we need to know who we can help to make sure that this resource is available to the veterans and surviving spouses in their areas.

For more information and to receive your referral form, contact jmurray@franklincony.org or call 518-481-1540 or your local American Legion commander.
