To the editor:

On July 26, the USLA Scholarship Fund, which awards annual scholarships to deserving Saranac Lake and Tupper Lake High School seniors held its second annual golf tournament fundraiser at the Saranac Inn Golf Club. An enthusiastic group of golfers competed for prizes in Men’s, Ladies and Mixed Divisions on a beautiful Adirondack Summer day. All of the golfers were there to support the area students.

Congratulations to the winning teams: Men’s; Gary Gnolek, Larry Koch, Eric Kuhn, and Tom Nash. Lady’s; Barbara Franklin, Kate Hale, Phyliss Magnus, and Judy Meagher. Mixed; Lynn and Tom Meldrim, Brooke and Rick VanHennbergen. Closest to the hole winners were Barbara Franklin for the Ladies and John Charles for the men. More than $2,000 worth of prizes were awarded to all of the winners.

Special Thanks to Jim Connors and the staff at the Saranac Inn Golf Club that provided everything that was needed for a fun golf tournament.
