To the editor:

Please join me in voting for Lindy Ellis for Franklin County Legislator.

There are so many reasons I will be voting for Lindy Ellis. In the years I have known Lindy, she has always been involved in our community: chair or board member to committees that enhance the lives of many such as Homeward Bound Adirondacks, Saranac Lake Parks and Trails Advisory Board, Saranac Lake SkatePark Committee … to name just a few. From the first time I met Lindy, she made me feel like the important one in the conversation. She really is the most caring and effective communicator I know.

Although she has only been a Franklin County legislator since 2018, she has accomplished much. This includes things like getting key roads on the 2020 Franklin County repair cycle, getting the state Department of Transportation to install crossing signage at several busy areas in Saranac Lake and advocating for constituents to help them achieve meaningful outcomes. Lindy is the only politician who has voiced and acted on concern for the environment. It is a breath of fresh air (no pun intended) to have someone talk about this. While her work always looks to public health and safety, she knows this also includes the environment we live in.

I say, VOTE LINDY ELLIS. She is currently in the seat and working hard to be sure the southern district gets its fair share of advocacy and action. Let’s keep her there.
