We would like to pause in the middle of our Swing into Summer Raffle to thank the many business owners and institutions who have helped us during this rewarding fundraiser.

Many businesses contributed monetary prizes, gift certificates or special vacation packages, including Little Italy, Blue Moon Cafe, Left Bank Cafe, Nori’s Village Market, La Bella Ristorante, the Belvedere, Downhill Grill, Shamrock Bar and Grill, the Wild Center, Owl’s Nest Pizza, Cochran’s Cabins, Woods & Waters, Lake View Deli, Goody Goody’s, Borracho Taco, Hyde Fuel, HomEnergy and Fogarty’s Lake Flower Marina. Stewart’s gift certificates are also available as a prize. One of our artist members, Heidi Gutersloh, has again donated her beloved Pet Pawtrait work as a special prize. The Adirondack Daily Enterprise and Adirondack 105 Radio have helped us get the word out to our community.

Particular thanks goes to Shamrock Bar and Grill for their enthusiastic ticket selling. Thank you to Doobie Foley and our master ticket seller, Mina, for all of the support you give the raffle. A special drawing for Shamrock ticket buyers has been set up for the night of June 19 for a $40 gift certificate to, of course, the Shamrock! These Shamrock tickets will then be included in the other ticket drawing at the Village Mercantile on the morning of June 21.

Our four $1,000 Continuing Education Scholarships have been awarded, and six $1,000 High School Scholarship winners will be announced after the students receive the news at graduation. Thank you to everyone who has supported this immensely rewarding process of funding local scholarships.
