The Cancer Services Program of Clinton County would like to thank the Hospice of the North Country for adding a benefit for their employees, a policy which will give them paid time off for cancer screenings. Our program encourages businesses to participate in this statewide Paid Leave for Cancer Screenings Initiative to help increase cancer screenings and decrease late stage cancer diagnosis. We can’t stress enough: Early detection is the best prevention. We hope this will start other agencies and businesses to think about offering a paid time off policy that will work for them and their employees. Once again, we would like to thank the Hospice of the North Country for making the thoughtful decision to help their employees! Way to go!
