Pumpkin pie judging thank-you

On Saturday, Oct. 17, the Future is Now committee held its second annual Pumpkin Heaves and Autumn Leaves event at Kate Mountain Park in Vermontville. As part of the event, there was a pumpkin pie baking contest. Congratulations to the winners of the contest. They were Cheryl Craft, first prize; Maureen MacDowell, second prize; and Yneta Rissee, third prize.
Many thanks to the judges. They were exposed to the cold and snow while they tasted delicious pies. The judges were Cliff Smalley, Veronica Nason, Kelly Cerialo and Karen Smalley.
