SARANAC LAKE – BluSeed Studios contributes entertainment to spring break in Saranac Lake bringing Nicholas Edward Williams to the Live at BluStage concert series at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 18.
Williams is a Seattle-born emerging singer/songwriter whose nomadic childhood–traveling through four states and living in 10 houses by the age of 12 — played a part in his unique style.
In 2012, Williams began his own full-time life on the road to pursue his music career. Since then he has been lauded for his creative blending of haunting Americana, folk and bluegrass genres.
The variety of influences, from Doc Watson to Mississippi John Hurt, and John Prine to Paul Simon, is evident in his original music culminating in a new sound that feels familiar.
“Nicholas showed up one day at BluSeed and I immediately picked up on his sincerity, passion and commitment to his music and the folk singing way of life,” BluSeed Studios Artistic Director Carol Marie Vossler said. “I hope everyone who is sticking around during spring break will come give Nicholas a listen and support his concert.”
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. at BluSeed Studios, 24 Cedar St. The concert begins at 7 p.m.
Admission is $12.
