SARANAC LAKE – The Adirondack Singers’ Winter Holiday Concert will be presented in a new venue on Sunday, Dec. 2 — Saranac Lake’s Methodist Church.

Music Director Karen Butters is celebrating 20 years as leader of the mixed choral ensemble, which began as a North Country Community College Community group under the direction of Dr. George Reynolds.

Several of the present members have been singing with the Adirondack Singers, a 501(c)3 organization, since the early 1980s.

Butters has selected a winter holiday program that includes several of her favorite choral composers, among them Z. Randall Stroope, John Rutter, and Victor C. Johnson.

Familiar holiday favorites include “Sleigh Ride,” “Snow, Snow, Beautiful Snow,” and “White Christmas.”

There will be some added humor in a couple of new selections.

The always popular Adirondack Barbershop Consortium will entertain concert-goers with their light-hearted seasonal selections.

The First United Methodist Church is located at 63 Church St. in Saranac Lake.
