Middlebury College Dissipated Eight will perform Saturday
SARANAC LAKE – The Middlebury College Dissipated Eight will perform in the historic Saranac Village at Will Rogers Great Room at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 10.
This is one of the oldest all-male a Capella groups in the country, featuring eight double quartet singing and simulating the sounds of instruments by using different pitches with their voices.
Formed in 1952, “Dissipated Eight continues on in the tradition of the original octet, maintaining the example of energetic dedication established by the group’s founding members while continuing to push the boundaries of a cappella as we know it. Producing numerous records over the years, the D8 has compiled a vast archive of music from the past five decades.”
This program is open to the public and there is a $5 requested donation. Refreshments will be served.
