Intergenerational music program will be topic March 7
SARANAC LAKE – As part of the Saranac Village at Will Rogers’ Road to Retirement Series, “High Peaks Music Together Generations” program instructor Kristi Colarusso will talk about an intergenerational music program that she is currently teaching in the North Country.
The presentation will take place at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 7 at Saranac Village at Will Rogers.
This program, featuring children up to the age of 5 along with seniors, combats isolation and depression and helps to lift spirits in participating guests as well as onlookers.
Held on Wednesday mornings at 9:45 a.m. at Will Rogers, families bring their children to introduce them to music, song and dance and to share with participants joy, friendship and harmony.
The Road to Retirement Series features programs related to discovering the path others have taken to retirement, serves to further educate and engage communities and teaches about the opportunities, services and resources that can help people retire successfully and happily.
Discussion and questions will follow the presentation. This program is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served. For information, call 518-891-7117.
