LAKE PLACID – George Kilby Jr’s Mardi Gras Revue will return to Delta Blue in the Hotel North Woods Saturday.

The Magic Hat Brewing Company presents Kilby as he brings the sounds of New Orleans to Mardi Gras in the Adirondacks at 9 p.m. with no cover for an evening of live music, drink specials, southern food and giveaways.

Kilby, of New York City and Anniston, Alabama, has brought the sounds of New Orleans to stages all over the world with his seven-piece Mardi Gras Revue.

Each member of the Revue has a long and colorful history in music. Pam Fleming tours the world with Hazmat Modine; Bruce Martin is the percussionist/keyboardist with Talking Heads spin-off band; The Tom Tom Club; Neil Thomas was part of New York City Zydeco pioneers Loup Garou, and toured with Blues Traveler, and the multi-talented Lily White has toured with Jazz great Jimmy McGriff. In the “West of the Mississippi” version of the band, bassist Andy Calder has worked with Larry Coryell and DJ Logic.

Kilby’s Southern roots have always been part of his sound; and his yearly salute to Mardi Gras has found him leading this powerhouse band for 17 years running. His Fat Tuesday gigs in Brooklyn and Manhattan have been voted “Best Mardi Gras Party in NYC” several times.
