Rusted Root frontman to host solo show Friday
ESSEX – Rusted Root frontman Michael Glabicki is exploring new sounds with a solo career, and will bring them locally to the Whallonsburg Grange Hall,
Rusted Root’s multi-platinum sextet out of Pittsburgh evolved around ‘s distinct style and grew into a musical entity that has thrived in a non-genre specific category encompassing dramatic performances and a polyrhythmic, multicultural rock-and-soul sound. Having recently released their 8th studio album, “The Movement,” the band continues to maintain a strong foothold in the world/jam/rock world.
In addition to the two decades with Rusted Root, Glabicki is exploring new sounds with his solo career. He has started touring nationally as a duo act, and frequently tests new songs on the road while continuing to perform well-known Rusted Root hits. Glabicki currently routes his solo tours around the Rusted Root schedule, and has multiple performances throughout the year.
Doors open at 7 p.m., and the show begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 at the door or may be reserved by calling 963-4170, with a special rate of $10 for those under 18. Advance reservations are highly recommended.
