Merci beaucoup from the SLHS French Club

To the editor:

Thanks to the amazingly generous community we live in, the Saranac Lake High School French Club was able to bring 29 students on a fabulous four day trip to Quebec City. There, they had the opportunity to practice their language skills, learn about the history of the city, visit their Quebecois penpals in their middle school and take part in numerous hands-on/immersive activities.

From our bake sale at Coakley’s, to our pie sale at Kinney’s and the generous donation from Left Bank’s fondue fundraiser, the people of Saranac Lake showed their generosity over and over again.

We would especially like to thank the Moose Club for their extremely generous donation as well as the Adirondack Foreign Language Enhancement Fund for awarding us a large grant to help make this possible.

For many of the students, this cultural experience would not have been possible without this town’s generosity. Merci beaucoup!
