To the editor:

Our Congressperson, Rep. Elise Stefanik, who usually loudly proclaims her support for the military, has voted against a bill that would provide medical care and financial support for military members who are suffering with cancers and other illnesses caused by the burn pits at our overseas bases. These illnesses are very debilitating and expensive to treat and timely treatment is crucial.

Stefanik probably knew that the bill would pass the House anyway, as the Democrats would stand up and do the right thing for our veterans.

I hope that all our military families will remember her cruel vote come November.

She should be ashamed of this hypocritical vote.
