To the editor:

Rich Shapiro is up for reelection to the Saranac Lake village board, and I’m writing today to offer my enthusiastic support for his continuing on the board.

Rich was instrumental in getting the village skatepark built and continues to support area youth through his work on the skatepark, the youth center and the summer youth program. Rich is always available to listen to the concerns of village residents and does his best to make sure any questions they have are answered promptly. He and his wife Lindy Ellis are regular attendees at art receptions around town and have made valuable contributions to the arts community, through their participation at events and with their pocketbooks. Rich and Lindy also run a bicycle business, Gear to Go Tandems, and can often be seen pedaling around the area.

Please vote for Rich Shapiro; the village needs talented people like him on the board.
