Lake Placid has considered Saranac Lake a stepchild to be given second-fiddle status. Example: The Olympics sent nothing our way. (I was in business here at that time.) Mary Freidenberg, Peg Roy, et al, had a great business cooperative group, and the chamber really functioned. Divorce and organize the businesses, and put the chamber back where it can function.
