Pendragon brings back 2004 ‘Little Shop Of Horrors’ cast for benefit concert

SARANAC LAKE – In celebration of Pendragon Theatre’s 40th season, the cast from the 2004 hit production of “Little Shop of Horrors” is reuniting for two concert-version shows at 8 p.m. Saturday, July 13 and Sunday, July 14 at 2 p.m.

All seats are $25, and the proceeds go to benefit the theatre’s internship education and development program.

The original cast, including Matt Sorensen as Seymour, Jason Brill as Mr. Mushnik and Lonnie Ford as Audrey II, will perform a script in-hand concert version of the off-Broadway musical comedy, by composer Alan Menken and writer Howard Ashman, about a geeky florist shop worker who finds out his Venus flytrap can speak.

Other performers reuniting include Marcy Amell, Rhiannon Kramer Antico, Matthew Dehond and Jason Purdy. Natalie Orman and Samantha Paley are filling in for Sarah LaDuke and Seva Anthony. The performance is staged by Kent Streed with musical direction by Kimberly Weems.
