SARANAC LAKE – A long-time kayaker and hiker combines her love of fantasy fiction and the Adirondacks to create a new world, home to familiar mountain lake creatures and unprecedented mythical beings inspired by common loons and their neighbors.

“Tranquility” author Christa Conklin will sign copies of her book from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, June 29 at The Book Nook, LLC at 7A Broadway in Saranac Lake. The book is on sale there as well.
