Big Boss Sausage returns to Carnival

SARANAC LAKE – On Friday and Saturday, Big Boss Sausage will be back at Bitters & Bones for two special Saranac Lake Winter Carnival shows. Friday’s kick off time will be 4 p.m. and on Saturday the band will take the stage at 11 p.m.

For more than two decades, the Big Boss have notched out time in their busy touring schedule to play the Winter Carnival. Every year, to add to the celebration, they have unleashed a bizarre and unconventional float for the annual parade. In 2018 the Sausage received an award from the mayor dubbing them the “Official band of the Saranac Lake Winter Carnival.”

The rollicking Big Boss Sausage plays a wide range of styles including rock, pop, funk, alt. country, dance, folk, bluegrass, and super-disco space-groove. This includes classics to the current and beyond.

The shows are engaging, upbeat and soulful with a comedic twist.

Big Boss has recorded 3 full length albums of all original music. Members of the Sausage have performed with The Samples, Rusted Root, Jo-Jo Russell and Phish. For the show the band will be pumping up their new dance craze “Bush Wacking in the Fjords.”

Special guests for the evenings will be Maribyrd and Bramble and Squalls.

The night will also include the “Dance off of the Jolted Woodsmen” and crowning of “Be Dazzling Queen of Slush.”
