Brossard’s ‘Out Painting’ featured at Guild for Dec.

Water Lily, oil painting by Nancy Brossard (Image provided)

SARANAC LAKE – “Out Painting” is Nancy Brossard’s feature show at the Adirondack Artists Guild during the month of December.

Brossard works in oils, painting directly from nature in plein air. Her landscape paintings are often inspired by water. A love of water lilies is evident in this show.

Brossard has recently been drawn to the views from Whiteface Mountain along the Memorial Highway. The incredible depth and breadth of the views of Lake Placid and Franklin Falls are portrayed in some of her larger works in the show. Also included are paintings created during our local Adirondack plein air festival and the plein air fest in Keeseville this past summer.

An opening reception for “Out Painting” will be held at the Adirondack Artists Guild in Saranac Lake on Friday, Dec. 7 from 5 to 7 p.m.

The exhibit runs through Jan. 6, 2019.

The Adirondack Artists Guild is a cooperative retail art gallery representing a diverse group of artists residing and working in the Tri-Lakes region of the Adirondack Park. The gallery is located at 52 Main St, Saranac Lake and can be reached at 518-891-2615.
