LAKE PLACID – This July, Scholastic Summer Reading Road Trip 2018 is partnering with bookstores and libraries in communities nationwide, hosting reading festivals for families with kids ages 0-12.

For the first time in Lake Placid, 2018 Scholastic Summer Reading Road Trip will host family reading events in our community featuring: tented stations for crafts and ac, costume character appearances, promotional giveaways for readers of all ages, photo opportunities, and more.

The festival will also feature author signings with local Scholastic authors and illustrators :

-Gale Galligan, author of “Dawn and The Impossible Three” (The Baby-sitters Club Graphic Novel #5) and “Kristy’s Big Day” (The Babysitters Club Graphic Novel #6)

-Children’s Book Author, Sandra Magsamen, “Whooo Loves You?”, “Peek-A-Boo, I love You!”, “Because I Love You” , “Owl Always Love You”, “I Ruff You”, and many more.

-Kate Messner, “Breakout”, “Marty Mcguire” Series, “Ranger In Time” series, “Capture The Flag”, “Manhunt”, “Hide and Seek”, “The Brilliant Deep”, “Up in the Garden and Down in the Dirt” and more.
