SARANAC LAKE – The First United Methodist Church of Saranac Lake will host a concert at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2 at the church at 63 Church St.

Tickets are $10 and will benefit the church’s General Fund, Organ Restoration Fund and Roof Fund.

The concert will be an evening of organ and brass featuring the Riverside Brass Quintet and organist Kathy Cross with the quintet and organist playing both individually and together.

The quintet, which formed in 2009, performs frequently around the North Country.

It is a group of gentlemen associated with the Crane School of Music in Potsdam. Four are current or Emeritus Professors, the fifth is a graduate of the school and teaches professional voice and voice as an instrument.
