LPCA presents ‘Shored Up’ as part of Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation’s On Screen/In Person Tour

LAKE PLACID – The Lake Placid Center for the Arts will present “Shored Up” through Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation’s On Screen/In Person program.

On Screen/In Person is designed to bring some of the best new independent American films and their respective filmmakers to communities across the mid-Atlantic region.

The filmmakers will tour with their films and work with the host sites to develop community activities that provide audiences context and greater appreciation for their respective work and the art of film.

Immediately after the film, the LPCA will host a panel discussion and forum on the current environmental conditions and the most pressing environmental issues facing the Adirondack Park. Participating in the forum will be Shored Up’s director Ben Kalina, Diane Fish with the Adirondack Council, Corrie Miller of the Ausable River Association, Wilmington Supervisor Randy Preston, Christian Webber of the Placid Lake Foundation and Zoe Smith of the Wildlife Conservation Society.

The LPCA will present “Shored Up” on Tuesday.

Tickets are available $6 in advance and $10 the day of the screening. Tickets can be purchased by calling the LPCA Box Office at 518-523-2512 or online at www.lakeplacidarts.org.
