Major snowmobile crash on Fourth Lake

WEBB – Two people were transported to the hospital after a major snowmobile collision on Fourth Lake near the hamlet of Eagle Bay Saturday.

Brian R. Corey, 49, of Poughkeepsie was traveling east on the lake on a 2018 Yamaha snowmobile at 3:22 p.m. when he realized the members of his riding group had turned back, police said. He took a hard left U-turn and drove directly into a 2019 Ski-Doo snowmobile operated by Ann Moeller, 55, of East Amherst. Both snowmobiles left a large debris field.

Corey was transported to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital with a fractured leg, a fractured arm and internal injuries. Moeller was also transported with a head injury, a broken leg and internal injuries.
