Information session April 23 at NCCC: How to enhance income, career mobility

LAKE PLACID — North Country Community College will host a free information session on how to use a college degree to enhance income and career mobility.

Led by NCCC Humanities Department Chairman Bruce Rowe, the session will take place from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. Tuesday, April 23 at the Lake Placid Public Library.

“The program will be geared for anyone who’s interested in earning a college degree,” Rowe said in a press release. “In particular, though, we’re trying to reach out to people who are in the workforce already who might benefit by coming to North Country part-time or full-time, to increase their marketability, to gain a promotion, or maybe to finish that degree or credential they started long ago.”

NCCC recently launched a pair of online degree programs geared for working adults, in business administration and liberal arts. Rowe said his presentation will specifically focus on the benefits of earning a liberal arts degree, which he said can lay the groundwork for many career possibilities.

No reservations are required for the April 23 information session. Refreshments will be provided. For details, email admissions@nccc.edu, call 888-TRY-NCCC, or visit www.nccc.edu.
