SARANAC LAKE — The Saranac Lake Area Chamber of Commerce and Saranac Lake Central School District are co-hosting the third annual Community Resource Day and Job Fair at Riverside Park in Saranac Lake on Thursday, May 9 from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Over 50 businesses and organizations will be in attendance to showcase their current job openings and resources. A variety of industries looking to hire will be represented including retail, hospitality, childcare and early education, human services, and summer camps. Businesses are hiring for part-time, full-time and seasonal positions.

Community resource organizations will be providing information about what they offer including health insurance programs, mental health services, peer support, youth services, family services, mentoring programs, and more. The Saranac Lake Central School will have representatives on site to help students 14 years and older with their working papers and will also have information about school programs and open positions.

“We look forward to seeing our community for our resource day and job fair. There is something for everyone to benefit from, including new employment, information about resources in our own backyard and the good work of so many caring individuals,” said Erika Bezio, Community School liaison with the Saranac Lake Central School.

Students in grades 9-12 from Saranac Lake High School will be attending during the afternoon of their school day and will have the opportunity to talk with employers and explore potential job opportunities. This event is free and open to the public and the community is encouraged to attend and see the opportunities and resources the Saranac Lake area has to offer on May 9 at Riverside Park.
