Nutritional Symposium for seniors

Seniors Helping Seniors in their Community, a local
program founded by Kathleen Schneck in association with the Saranac Lake Adult Center, sponsored a Nutritional Symposium at the Lake Clear Lodge and Retreat Center Tuesday, May 16. The program, funded in large part through a generous grant from the Cloudsplitter Foundation, provided local seniors with healthy eating presentations and food samples from the Lodge and Nori’s Village Market. Many local businesses donated door prizes and over 76 seniors from the area, including members of the Saranac Lake, Tupper Lake, Malone and St. Regis Mohawk Adult Centers attended the event. Becky Preve, the director of Franklin County Office for the Aging, was also in attendance to answer seniors questions.
