Making French crepes

Saranac Lake junior high French teacher Christine Adams brought her students to the Left Bank Cafe in Saranac Lake in November to use their language skills to make crepes “en francais.” They made the batter, “spun” the crepes, stacked them with sauce and cheese then enjoyed their “crepe gateau.” Anne Sterling, chef and manager at the cafe shared her passion for the history of crepes, which due their round and “sunny” shape are part of winter rituals in France.
