Youth Lodge staff, residents support local Habitat efforts

North Country Habitat for Humanity recently presented a plaque to the staff at Citizen Advocates’ Adirondack Youth Lodge in Malone. Lodge staff, working with the youth who reside there, prepared and delivered meals on Saturdays to Habitat volunteers restoring homes in the community. In addition to supporting a good cause, Lodge staff used the opportunity to teach youth about meal preparation, cooking, baking and food safety. Accepting the plaque are Emily DeRouchie, treatment team leader; Amber Rockhill, shift leader; Lauren Fountain, residential aide; Carrie Marlowe, Habitat coordinator; Dana Dupee, shift leader; Courtney Sychtsz, residential aide; Porsche Chapman, residential aide; Bailey Dowd, residential aide; Michaela Healey, residential aide; and Rachel Badgley, program assistant.
