SARANAC LAKE – On Friday, Sept. 22, the Saranac Lake Lions Club hosted a vision screening clinic at Doug’s Place Day Care Center.

This quick and easy screening takes only seconds (about as much time as snapping a polaroid picture) using a special vision screening “camera-like” device.

It is the mission of local Lions Club members along with Lions SEE (Screening Eyes Early) of New York state to decrease childhood blindness through early detection and treatment of the most common vision disorders that cause Amblyopia; insuring that all children will be able to SEE their future.

If any child care centers or elementary schools in the area are interested in learning more about this technique or would like to schedule a screening for your school, contact Susan Steen, program chair at 518-354-8410 for more information.

This Lions Club sponsored program is free of charge to all area youth.

Starting at $19.00/week.
