SARANAC LAKE — The Saranac Lake Ski Club hosted the annual White Stag Ski Race on Feb. 8 at Mount Pisgah Ski Center.

The race featured skiers of all ages, from young kids to adults. Each racer did two runs down the mountain and were scored on their combined time.

Leland Carpenter recorded the fastest time of the day with a two-run time of 1:03.82, competing in the 14- to 18-year-old age group. Carpenter’s name will go on the White Stage Trophy housed at Mount Pisgah. Philip Beer had the second-best time in 1:05.19 and Lukas Miemis (1:05.88) was the third.

Emily Schwartzberg had the fastest time among the women’s competitors, finishing in 1:09.04.

Jamie Welsh (1:10.26) was second, while Mary Fox (1:14.78) was third.

The youngest racer of the day was Declan Monahan, who competed in the 1- to 5-year-old age group.
