Blue Bomber boys fall to Schroon Lake/Newcomb
LAKE PLACID — The Lake Placid boys basketball team suffered an 80-21 loss on Wednesday to the Schroon Lake/Newcomb Wild Huskies at home.
The Wild Huskies’ Daniel Pelkey scored 25 points to lead his team as Schroon Lake/Newcomb jumped out to a 40-12 lead at halftime. Three other Wild Huskies’ scorers reached double-figures.
Zach Kissel led the Blue Bombers with six points. Sean McCauley added five for Lake Placid, while Caleb Wylie scored four. Hugh Kissel and Max Perez chipped in with two points each.
Up next, the Blue Bombers, which dropped to 2-6 overall, will host the Bolton Eagles today at 6:30 p.m.
