SARANAC LAKE — The Saranac Lake volleyball team suffered a 3-0 loss to the Plattsburgh Hornets on the road Thursday. The Hornets won by scores of 25-16, 25-21 and 25-16.

Sophie Czadzeck paced the Red Strom with 15 assists, six points, five digs, three aces and two kills. Lexie Donaldson was once again strong defensively with a team-high 12 digs.

Saranac Lake’s Sophia McBride and Rori Chenaille-Schenk also had standout performances. McBride had nine digs, eight points, six kills and one assist. Chenaille-Schenk had nine digs and five points.

The Red Storm, which dropped to 8-3 overall, will host the Northeastern Clinton Cougars at 6 p.m. today.
