LAKE PLACID — The second High Peaks Cyclery Mini Triathlon race series of the season was held on Monday evening at the Mirror Lake Beach.

For the second week in a row, Elizabethtown native Kevin Bouchard-Hall and Elizabeth Izzo, of Lake Placid, were the overall winners in the men’s and women’s races, respectively. Bouchard-Hall finished the race in 55 minutes, 54 seconds, while Izzo crossed the finish line in 1:02:23.

Lake Placid’s Colin Delaney finished in second place among the men’s triathletes in a time of 1:00:59. John Cho of Summit, New Jersey, was third in 1:01:05.

On the women’s side, Lake Placid’s Roseanne VanDorn, competing in the 50 to 59 age group, was second in 1:13:24, while Holly Erenstone, a Lake Placid high school student, competing in the 13 to 17 agree group, was third in 1:14:40.

There were eight squads that competed in the teams division, as Erik Yaekel and Abigail VanDorn won in 1:12:48.

The race series is hosted every Monday night until Aug. 11. This summer’s races start at 6:30 p.m. and feature a 400-yard swim in Mirror Lake, a 12-mile bike around the River Road Loop, and a 3-mile run down and back Mount Whitney Road.
