LAKE PLACID — The 41st annual High Peaks Cyclery Mini Triathlon race series kicked off on Monday evening at the Mirror Lake Beach.

Kevin Bouchard-Hall of Elizabethtown was the overall winner on the men’s side, finishing the race in 59 minutes, 42 seconds. Jan Welford of Keene was second in the men’s division in a time of 1:02:02, followed by Dylan Cohen (1:05:29) of Saranac Lake.

On the women’s side, Elizabeth Izzo of Lake Placid was the top finisher, after crossing the finish line in 1:04:40. She was then followed by her sister, Anna Nyman, who finished in 1:17:24. Peru’s Melina Mercier-Provencher (1:21:33) was third overall.

The race series is hosted every Monday night until Aug. 11. This summer’s races start at 6:30 p.m. and feature a 400-yard swim in Mirror Lake, a 12-mile bike around the River Road Loop, and a 3-mile run down and back Mount Whitney Road.
