LAKE PLACID — The North American Cup for the bobsled and skeleton will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 15 through Sunday, Nov. 19 at the Mount Van Hoevenberg Sliding Center.

The NAC circuit brings together international competitors for men’s and women’s bobsled and skeleton races that count toward the overall season points standings. Athletes on the NAC tour are typically in a developmental stage as they hone their skills in competitive races that are just below the World Cup level. After opening in Lake Placid, the NAC tour will make stops in Whistler, British Columbia and Park City, Utah before wrapping up the season March 2-10, 2024 at Mount Van Hoevenberg.

Last season’s NAC overall points standings champions included Americans Lauren Brzozowski and Frank Del Duca. Brzozowski, a New Jersey native, competed on the junior level last year and was the overall leader in two-woman and monobob. Del Duca earned the top spot in four-man bobsleigh last season.

There is no charge for spectators who want to attend the North American Cup races at Mount Van Hoevenberg. The site will host a BMW IBSF Bobsled and Skeleton World Cup on March 22-24, 2024, with the IBSF World Championships coming to the two-time Olympic venue in 2025. The 2023-24 World Cup season opens on Nov. 17 in China, followed by races in France, Austria, Switzerland, Norway, Latvia and Germany.
