LAKE PLACID — The Lake Placid Trail Challenge will return to this region next summer.

After hosting the event in 2022, the three-distance trail running race is slated to return to Mount Van Hoevenberg on Aug. 10, 2024.

The three distinct distances offered by the Lake Placid Trail Challenge include a 10K, Half Marathon and 50K. These options cater to a diverse range of participants, from sports novices to seasoned ultra-marathon enthusiasts.

All three distances will start and finish at the Nordic Stadium, just outside Mount Van Hoevenberg’s Mountain Pass Lodge. The course will take runners through single-track, double-track, flat, steep and flowy trails.

Registration is available on Spartan Trail’s website and special early bird pricing is available for a limited time. For more information and venue details, visit mtvanhoevenberg.com.
