SARANAC LAKE — The Saranac Lake Fun Run drew a large crowd of adult runners Thursday in Riverside Park as the acoustic music of “Rock and Lil” serenaded the participants as part of the Third Thursday Art Walk.

The event started off with kids competing in the quarter-mile and half-mile races. Next up were the milers, followed by the adult runs of 2, 3 and 4 miles on the “Kiwassa Out and Back” course.

The Thursday Night Fun Run series will take place every Thursday through Aug. 29. Registration opens at 5:30 p.m., followed by the runs at 6 p.m. sharp. The adult runs range between 2 and 5 miles and are held on different courses in the village each week.

The Fun Runs are organized by volunteers and sponsored by the village of Saranac Lake and the Kiwanis Club of Saranac Lake. There is no fee to participate in the fun runs. For more information, contact Andy Pickreign at capp_andy@yahoo.com or 518-524-3557.
