This year the Saranac Lake Interfaith Food Pantry (SLIFP) has seen our fellow community members challenged more than ever before. Prices in all areas — food, gas, housing, electricity and fuel — have risen exponentially with no end in sight. With the added stress of SNAP food benefits changing, food security has become a major challenge for many local families.

The SLIFP would like to thank the wonderful supportive Saranac Lake community! We could never have met the increased food demands without year-round support from: volunteers, local fundraisers for individual food and financial donations, grocery stores, churches, schools and service organizations.

Besides weekly food pantry items, we provide fresh fruit and vegetables, kids packs and food choices for individual needs. We also offer free crockpot/stove top cooking classes.

The pantry is located behind the First Presbyterian Church every Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon. For any questions or donations call 518-891-7325. Our mailing address is PO Box 532, Saranac Lake, NY 12983. All are welcome!
