To the editor:

Now that the village election is over, we say thank you.

Thank you to every resident who exercised their right to vote.

Thank you to everyone who supported us and our campaign.

Thank you to Mayor Jimmy Williams, KT Stiles and Josh King for stepping up and running.

Although the campaign exposed differing opinions on how the village should be governed, one thing remains clear: This village is loved by its residents, and by those who live elsewhere but have some connection to it.

We believe this community is worth every effort to make it better today than it was yesterday and that, as good as it is, its best days are ahead.

Village government has a very important role to play in shaping the future of our community, and we take that responsibility very seriously, just like the current and previous administrations have. But, we also recognize how much good happens because of the individual and collective actions of our businesses, organizations, residents and countless dedicated volunteers. We thank you for everything you do to make our community a better place, one day at a time.

We promise to work hard on your behalf and we truly appreciate all of the well wishes, including from those of you who were on the opposite side during the campaign. We know you love this community just as much as we do and that you just want it to continue to be a great place to call home.

We appreciate the dedication to our village that trustees Sean Ryan and Aurora White have shown and we look forward to working with them to keep moving the village forward.

Thanks again for giving us a chance to serve you.
