To the editor:

The Bloomingdale Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary would like to send out our sincere appreciation to everyone who purchased a sub from us at our annual Super Sub Day held on Sunday, Feb. 8. We sold 225 subs!

This year, we dedicated the proceeds from the fundraiser to the Bloomingdale Volunteer Fire Department new roof fund, and the donations came pouring in. The Bloomingdale Fire House is in need of a new roof and the cost will be around $30,000. We donated $2,000 to go toward the new roof.

We would also like to give thanks to Brian Logan, owner of Jrecks Subs. Every year, Brian slices all of the meats, cheeses and veggies that we need for the day. We are so grateful for his commitment to the BVFD Auxiliary and this annual fundraiser.

Thank you to Susan at the Adirondack Daily Enterprise for her expertise and assistance with this fundraiser each year.
