To the editor:

This year, the village elections occur on Wednesday, March 18. I encourage all registered Saranac Lakers voters, regardless of party affiliation, to vote for David Trudeau for village trustee.

I’ve known Dave for well over 15 years. I first worked with Dave when I asked him to be a board member for the Saranac Lake Free Library. I was aware of his background in construction and infrastructure support and that was the kind of expertise I was looking for in someone to serve on the library board. Working with Dave for those five years, I can state unequivocally that Dave is one of the hardest-working and most perceptive individuals I have ever met. I soon realized that Dave considered no task to be too big and no task too small. His attention to detail was unmatched and his ability to see beyond the immediate concerns of any project was unparalleled.

Dave also consistently demonstrated two additional traits that make him an understanding candidate for village trustee: Dave is not concerned or deterred by hard work; he will always roll up his sleeves and get the job done. And Dave is also one of the most thoughtful individuals I have ever met. I never once witnessed a time when he did not treat everyone with respect and dignity.

In closing, I would like to add one last thought: Dave always followed through on any task he took on. Dave’s knowledge and background made him an outstanding asset for the library and I have no doubt that he will be a great resource for every resident of Saranac Lake while he serves on the village board.
