To the editor:

As a former teacher, I’ve graded a lot of papers — but if I were grading community service, Johnny Williams would get an A+.

Born and raised in Saranac Lake, Johnny returned to his hometown and became a small business owner. He’s leveraged his success to give local kids jobs, guidance and confidence — lessons that last longer than anything on a test.

In my grade book, he gets extra credit for helping to raise over $500,000 through the Turkey Trot and for serving Harrietstown with dedication and good humor.

Johnny’s not about party politics — he’s about people, progress and common ground over chaos. I voted for Johnny for Harrietstown Town Council in 2021 and I will again this year, regardless of what line he occupies on the ballot.
