To the editor:

I’m writing today to let your readers know why I’m voting for Johnny Williams and why I would encourage them to do the same for the best interest of the Town of Harrietstown.

As many of you know, Johnny Williams is a self-made man who is a hardworking and proficient, businessman, entrepreneur, husband and father. You’ve probably heard of Johnny and Jimmy being so successful in raising approximately $500,000 during their annual Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot over the last 10 years. Johnny is a long-time member of the North Country Workforce Development Board, and Harrietstown Councilman for the past four years. He took the point on the airport committee and is ready to see an $8.5 million airport revitalization project through to completion.

Johnny is a doer. He is a successful businessman who employs dozens of our fellow townspeople and pays them a fair wage and allows them to succeed. And, personally, he encouraged my son to develop the mural on the corner of Broadway and Bloomingdale to help inspire an artist and beautify a village while Johnny and Jimmy paid for the whole thing.

I’m voting for Johnny WIlliams because he has our town and village at the center of his heart and he has proven it time after time.

As a former Franklin County legislator serving this town, I know in the future there will be tough decisions to be made, I know Johnny will do all he can to learn the issues and do right by our town and village.

Please join me in voting for Johnny Williams for Harrietstown councilman on Election Day.
