To the editor:

On behalf of my family and the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, I would like to thank all those who participated and donated to our annual fundraiser held recently at Bitters and Bones.

A huge debt of gratitude is owed to Johnny and Jimmy Williams of Bitters and Bones, without whom the benefit would not have occurred. We are one of the many local causes that benefit from their generosity and enthusiasm.

Thanks also to Rick and Shannon Bromley of Casa del Sol for donating their time and margarita station. Their involvement always raises the level of fun.

The food was donated by the Shatraw family and US Foods, cooked on the Saranac Lake Fire Department’s grill, which they generously loaned to us. Our thanks to them.

The live musical performances donated by Jae Dani Stevens and John Warchol were outstanding. We thank them for adding a special touch to the day.

Finally, a great deal of appreciation and thanks to those who donated to the Foundation either in person or otherwise. The generosity of this community leaves us in awe and feeling extremely grateful.

The Tunnel to Towers Foundation was established in honor of first responders lost on 9/11. The money raised builds housing for catastrophically injured and homeless veterans and pays the mortgages of the families of first responders lost in the line of duty.
