On July 22, the USLA Scholarship Fund, which awards annual scholarships to deserving Saranac Lake and Tupper Lake High School seniors, held its fifth annual golf tournament fundraiser at the Saranac Inn Golf Club. An enthusiastic group of 68 golfers, there to support area students, competed for prizes in Men’s, Ladies’ and Mixed Divisions on a beautiful Adirondack summer day.

Congratulations to the winning teams:

Mens: Doug Roode, Geoff Lewis, Larry Zygo and Jeff German.

Ladies: Kate Hale, Kathy Rapp, Kathleen Forlenza and Sandy Otten.

Mixed: Geri Bebernitz, Neil Kolsky, Tom Meldrim and Lynn Meldrim.

Closest to the pin winners were Charlotte Mehrtens for the Ladies and Jason Hudspath for the men.

Additional prizes were also awarded to second place in each category and honorable mention, with total prizes over $3,000.
