To the editor:
On behalf of the board of the Saranac Lake Adult Center, we thank the Carpenter Foundation for its generous grant to the center. It will be used to enhance the programs and activities of the center for all of its members this year.
The Saranac Lake Adult Center offers daily congregate lunches to the senior community under the guidance of the Franklin County Office For the Aging, maintains a Wellness Center with a full range of exercise equipment and has a program of daily activities contributing to the social well-being of its members. It also runs the Meals-on-Wheels program for its participating townships.
Membership is open to all residents of the Saranac Lake Central School District who are aged 50 and over for a nominal annual fee. The SLAC is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
